Way Back Wednesday | North Carolina Family Photographer

Sounds catchy doesn't it? I've wanted to start doing a Way Back Wednesday for a couple weeks now, but every Wednesday comes and I'm super busy, but this morning I'm making sure I'm not. Last month I went to Jacksonville North Carolina to photograph some of my past clients and I had a great time! I miss North Carolina and the beach, but the beautiful scenery and locations here in Colorado outweigh the beach that's overly populated by photographers out there. I do however really miss my clients, and the fact that they love me photographing their families so much that they get me to come all the way to NC every year to photograph them again :) And I definitely don't mind that at all.

You've seen the "C" family on my Blog early last year after my trip to Jacksonville. It was a cold and rainy day as was all the days I was there :( So I'm glad this year was warm and sunny and we got some amazing portraits! I have photographed them since the beginning... Maternity, Newborn, 1 year and now 2 year. Maybe next time I'm in town there will be another on the way?

We had their Maternity session on the beach in the winter, so it was very cold and windy that day. One of my all time favorite maternity shots is with Daddy hugging Mommy's belly and I try to do that with each of my sessions.

Getting close in a small nursery... my favorite from McKenna's newborn session...

Cold and rainy day in February, so we had to make due with a porch at our location, that thankfully had nice rocking chairs. McKenna was 1 at this session and wanted to go everywhere, so I got alot of her on the move...

A year and half later, McKenna is a big girl now! In the beginning she was shy but she opened up to we after a short bit and I have many more cute ones to come on their future Blog post :)

In looking back through my older sessions over the years, Its nice to see how much Ive changed as a photographer, and the change in my style and how I edit my images...
