The Session Album | Denver Colorado Portrait Photographer

I love all the albums I sell. This sessions album is probably my favorite. A beautiful 8x8 leather album, hand made here in the US. Extra durable card stock pages that don't bend or tear, with your favorite 30 mounted 5x7 prints. It also comes with its own silk lined display box. This leather version has a cute 2.5x2.5 peek a boo window on the front, but you can have the option of one of our lace versions of this album that doesn't have a window. I LOVE the spine of the leather ones.. it give it that old school elegant feel don't you think?

I wish I could share Mrs K's session and the fun western theme she had, but I'm glad I can share her gorgeous album with you guys...

Pretty Packages | Denver Colorado Photographer

Don't you like getting pretty packages?
Like Christmas presents from loved ones?

I prefer shopping at Victoria's Secret compared to other stores because they package my purchases in a beautiful way... not thrown into a tacky plastic bag that says "Thank You" stamped across the front.

I've tweaked my boutique packaging just a smidgen recently too...
I got rid of my dark brown boxes and went to a khaki and changed out my ribbon for some pretty lace and twine to go along with my vintage feel that I love and want to incorporate into my finished product.

And I hope you will too when you receive your pretty packages after your session :)

Product Post | Denver CO Custom Boutique Photographer

I just finished up on a wonderful order of frames last week and thought I would share them with you too! I haven't posted any product images of our Wild Sorbet frames, so these are their first appearance on here:)
With over 152 colors and patterns to choose from, the possibilities are truly endless!
Wild Sorbet frames come with or without trim and you can choose square or beveled edges, so they are more traditional compared to the curvy shapes of our Organice Bloom frames. You can also choose to have polka dots and/or glitter added to your frame too.

These are black (museum style) frames with brushed silver trim. Shown in 11x14, 8x10 and 5x7 framed prints.

Wild Sorbet frames come completely finished and ready to hang.

This shows the hanging parts for the 5x7 and 8x10 frames.

Those of you may have seen my leather sesssion album here in my studio during your consultation or ordering session. One of my favorite products for sure! This is an 8x8 black leather album with cardstock thick pages. Theres room for 20 5x7 prints and one 2x2 print for the window on the cover. It comes completely assembled for you and ready for your enjoyment or to gift to family and friends.

Those thick cardstock pages are hard to bend, so dont worry about looking through your portraits over the years.

Notice that sweet little man? Thats Parsan!

And it comes in a durable black box with silk lining :)

I want you all to have wonderful custom products to show off your awesome portraits! These products will adorn your house and all your family and friends will definately notice them standing out!

My goal as a photographer has always been to make the people I photograph feel good about themselves. It's incredibly important to me that my clients feel sexy, confident, and beautiful without feeling as if they've sacrificed their morals or dignity along the way. There is no nudity in ANY of my sessions, and you will never be persuaded to do or reveal anything that makes you uncomfortable. Your images will be classy, sophisticated, and a careful mix of flirty and dramatic.

Although most women use the images as a gift for the man in their life, there are many reasons why a woman would choose to do a boudoir session. Some women want to try their hand at modeling, others want to capture artistic images of their bodies while they're at their "peak," and still others simply want to have a fun experience that boosts their self-confidence. Regardless of your reason, your session will be an experience you will never forget!

*******

Can I bring a friend to my shoot for moral support?
Sure! Although I don’t recommend bringing your mom or your best guy friend along, a sister or close friend can be a great personal assistant to check your hair and makeup, assist you with outfit selection, and be your cheering section
Is there any retouching that is not included?
Tattoo removal and tan lines are extremely time-consuming and thus require an additional fee of $20 per image.  I recommend hiring a makeup artist skilled in skin coverups to help minimize these problems, if necessary. We retouch skin problem such as blemishes and stetch marks along with smoothing skin to make you look radiant!
How soon after my session will I receive my proofs and products?
You will receive your password-protected online gallery approximately 2-3 weeks after your session).  Products such as albums can take 4-6 weeks to arrive.
How much should I expect to spend on my session?
In addition to your session fee, you may also wish to book a hotel suite for your shoot, hire a hair or makeup artist, buy lingerie or other accessories, or purchase additional prints and products, all of which will increase the overall cost for your session.  Clients can spend as little as $350 or as much as $1500 on all of these items combined, with the average client spending around $800-1000 on their session.

Location, Location, Location:
I tell all my clients that we can take beautiful photographs at any location, and that’s certainly true, but a great location can make my job easier and your photos better.  The best locations are spacious, well decorated, free of clutter, and have an abundance of natural light.  For many people, their home is the best option because it has special meaning to them and it’s where they feel most comfortable.  However, there are many fantastic locations around the Denver area for those who prefer not to have their session at home. I also have a studio location for those of you who would rather do your session away from home but not at a hotel or outdoors.

Preparing For Your Session:

The best option to make yourself look your best is, of course, to hire a professional.  There are several hair and makeup artists that I would be happy to recommend to you, if you’re interested in that option.
Hair should be down, loose, and not overly loaded with hairspray.  There’s nothing sexier than long hair, so let it flow! Pigtails and loose braids can be good variations, but in general your hair should be free-flowing.  Clip-in extensions, hairpieces, and even wigs can be a great way to glam up your hairstyle.
Makeup should fit the “tone” of your outfit – softer and more natural for casual attire, dark and dramatic for sexier looks.  Don’t listen to any makeup artist that tells you that your makeup should be extra heavy for photos – the way your makeup looks in person is exactly how it will photograph.  Lipgloss and fake eyelashes are encouraged!
Treat yourself to a manicure and pedicure, but avoid facials or waxing for 1-2 days before your session as they can cause redness or blotchiness.  If you can, get in a short workout the morning of your shoot day, including some time in the weightroom.  Not only will this make you feel better and give you more energy and endorphins, lifting weights will help to temporarily firm up your arms and legs and give you the strength you need to hold your poses.  For some people it helps to bring a little white wine or champagne to their session to help them loosen up and relax.  However, avoid red wines or anything that will stain your lips, and don’t overdo the alcohol – Photoshop can’t fix droopy eyelids and bloodshot eyes!

DO invest in at least one cute pair of underwear or a bra/panty set that makes you feel super sexy and fits you perfectly.
DON’T wear anything that is too small and digs into your skin or creates the dreaded “muffin top.”
DO consider accessories from your man – ties, hats, scarves, sports paraphernalia, etc – to personalize your images.
DON’T bring more than one piece, at most, of oversized clothing (jerseys, sweaters, men’s button up shirts, etc).  Although they seem cute, they make it difficult to show off your beautiful body, which is the whole point of the session!
DO consider normal clothing if you’re nervous about being too revealing, such as jeans, cardigans, wifebeaters, a fitted button up shirt, a pencil skirt, or a fitted v-neck t-shirt.  Many of these items can be paired with cute undergarments to make a very sexy (but less skimpy) outfit.
DO remember that sometimes no outfit can be the best outfit.  Some of my favorite images were photos taken when the subject wasn’t wearing anything clothing-related, and simply covered up with a white sheet, towel, pillow, or a prop.  Remember, there will never be any nudity in your images, so even if you’re clothes-free we will make sure all the important bits are covered up somehow.
DON’T feel like you have to drop a ton of money on new items for your shoot.  Although it can be nice to have one really elaborate piece of lingerie, we can create stunning images with the items you already have in your closet.
DO load up on accessories.  Pearls, long necklaces, gaudy costume jewelry, hats, fishnets or sheer black hose, scarves, and most importantly – cute shoes!!   High heels are a must, and a great pair of cowboy boots or tall black leather boots paired with a cute pair of panties can be an outfit all on their own.
If you have any other questions about what to bring or how to prepare for your session, please let me know and I’ll be happy to help!

All images that you see on my website are used with permission.  After your session, we will discuss which images you grant me permission to use, and how and where I will use them.  I will never use an image from your session without your consent.   You always have the right to keep all images private, however clients that allow me full usage rights to their images will receive discounts or product upgrades as a thank you for their bravery!

If you're interested in getting more information on my January Boudoir sessions or would like to set up a consultation so we can meet up and talk about ideas for your custom session, please visit my website at http://www.brandycarusophotography.com/ and fill out your information on my contact page and I will get information sent over to you!

Product Post | Denver CO Custom Boutique Photographer

I wanted to post a few images of an order I had here recently. One is of my 10x20 storyboard and one of my 4x8 accordion album. Both are very popular product so I thought Id share them with those of you who like to see my products in action :) Dont your just love the color of this frame? I think it would wake anyone up in the morning if it was on your wall lol.
Thats also one of my 10x20 classic storyboard templates shown framed as well. Sorry pictures of actual prints are bad. This particular frame is in the LEWIS, which is the more formal/classic of these fun Organic Bloom frames.
Hung up and in action on the living room wall...

Detail shot of the corners to show the custom shabby chic rubbed effect. I love these frames!

The 4x8 accordion album folded out...

Semi open, front...

Front and Back cover....

These accordions are a fav if you're wanting a couple of your images from your session, and a great gift idea for Christmas, Birthdays, and Grandmas and Grandpas!
I've got other templates for these albums besides the one one shown above as well.
