We had a blast even though it was cold Saturday :) On top of my truck battery dying and then after jump starting it we had the keys get locked in both vehicles :/ Ugh it was a crazy morning, but that didn't stop me! My favorite Christmas Mini Session to date. Can't wait for next year! We will be adding some Limited Edition Mini's to our 2014 schedule that I can't wait to share with you all :) Remember to get your email put on our Newsletter list if you would like to be the first to snag a Mini Session slot when they are announced! They are announced via email to those on our Newsletter list before everyone else on the Blog and Facebook.
I don't get to photograph births as much as I'd like with a crazy schedule, but when I do it's such a blessing being able to photograph a little ones first moments into this world and the story of how they got there and what their mommy and daddy did while waiting on them to get here...
I just love the fall leaves and I hate that they're all gone now! :(
I finally got a chance to get some pictures of Aden here in Thornton where they have a ton of Bradford Pear trees. They weren't all yellow yet but every time I cut it too close they all disappear before I can photograph them.
Plus I also needed an excuse to get a picture of him with his short haircut since it's always so long.
The great american holiday about giving thanks to those we are thankful for and then we wake up the next day and run down people at the mall, trying to get that last great toy at a discounted price...
Sound about right? lol
Well I'm thankful for a lot of things so I won't bore you with that in this blog post :)
But one thing I'm definitely thankful for is you! Yes you :)
Those of you who read and follow my Blog and enjoy my photography. Those of you who are friends and Fans on Facebook. Those who refer my business to your friends and family. Those who have intrusted me with your special once in a lifetime moments that you want captured so you can share with your friends and family for generations to come. Those who even come back to me month after month, year after year, for more beautiful artwork staring your family...
This is also the time of year where we give back to those in need. And I want to give back in a way I love... Photography. There's a lot of people with the flooding this year who have lost their homes, and the crazy fires before that. Those who have a mom, dad or child who has gotten really ill or has cancer. Even those who just can't afford custom photography or even a photography session period. I've come across families who haven't had a family photo taken in 5 plus years, or since their first child... and now they have 4! Do you know any families like these?
I want to give a family like these a gift of photography. Something they can cherish for years to come.
If you personally know of a family in need and you want them to have a family session, please contact me this week my email and let me know of this family and why they should get this session.
I will be collecting emails until December 20th and then announce the lucky family online.
This wonderful family will receive a photography session in 2014 by me along with a beautiful album full of their images to be able to cherish for years to come :)
I don't typically do head shots since I'm a family photographer, but if I do, I'm definitely not one who does those cheesy studio portraits that look all stuffy. It just isn't my style.
Shaunna [aka The Real Estate Genius] needed some updated website head shots and we had fun with her stylish head shot session. Recognize one of her images? You may have seen her in the Denver Post 2 Sundays ago :) But the newspaper doesn't do it justice...
If you're buying or selling a house make sure you check her out online at:
Emma is such a sweet little girl. I'm glad I get to photograph her throughout the year. She was a cute little witch for Halloween! Isn't her costume adorable?! I love all the different colors going on :)
We had a fun time with our PJ minis last year but this year we are changing it up and having a
Hot Chocolate Stand set up! I'm super excited and can't wait!
Have you scheduled your session yet? We only have 3 spots left, so grab your preferred time before its gone. This is our last mini session on the year for our little ones!
Our Facebook Fan page started a contest yesterday if you haven't been over there yet. If you head over andlike our page, you can vote for your favorite image in our contest gallery by liking the picture. The picture with the most votes will win their image in a 16x20 gallery wrapped canvas! Why don't you head on over and help them out :) Contest ends this Saturday at 12pm...
Can't have a blog post without an image... Here's a cute couple from a recent session :)
Thank You to all of those who have served our country, past and present...
and Happy Belated Birthday to all you Marines out there! :)
*** Current military and veterans who schedule a family session for December 2013 will receive 50% off their print order. Not valid on mini sessions or digital collections. Please email me at email@example.com and put "Veterans' Day" in the subject line ***
I think my weekend wasn't long enough... anyone else feel that way?
I haven't posted a personal blog post in awhile so I wanted share some fun shots I got of Aden while we were on vacation this summer. In Albany Georgia they have made a fun spot downtown called
They opened an old building for artists to make their mark anywhere on the walls and after a few months they paint the walls so everyone can paint it up again. I think its a fun idea for those creative painters. I don't have that kind of talent but its a great backdrop for Senior and Children's portraits :)
I wish Denver would do something like this so it would maybe deter people from putting graffiti on places it shouldn't be. But I'm glad we have a small wall in my area with graffiti. It was a location I used last year for Aden's birthday session.
(Please excuse the top right image showing up grainy. Not sure why the Blog is doing that)
I met Jessica and Keegan in Aurora CO in September for their maternity session. I loved that Jessica had a certain vision for her maternity portraits and came prepared with poses that she found on Pinterest that she loved and wanted to incorporate :) I love every bit of their session, and can't wait to share their little boy's session soon...
